We will be staying at the historic Oxford Retreat House in the beautiful Hepburn Springs Reserve. Indulge in a blissful experience featuring lots of Pilates, nourishment, self growth, nature, fresh air, relaxation and inspiring company.

Our house is nestled in amongst a private garden which evokes the natural beauty of regional Victoria. We will have access to our own private sauna and Pilates studio space for the duration of our stay. Oxford House is artist David Bromleys former home and the interior is defined by its distinctive decorations and artistic flair. There is a stunning family lounge room and spacious dining area with a luxurious wood fire. Each bedroom is eclectically designed with walls graced by cultural icons and gorgeous paintings. Rustic light fixtures give the spaces a unique warmth. Even the bathrooms share this joyful eccentricity, with brightly coloured cabinets contrasting against clean white tiles.

Nourish

All meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) plus snacks are included in your 3 day retreat.

Enjoy freshly cooked breakfasts and dinners lovingly prepared by Spade to Blade – a local Daylesford business that prides itself on creating delicious food using produce gathered from farms in the surrounding district.

On Thursday we will join Romy Bursztyn for a nourishment workshop followed by a colourful nutritious lunch. Romy is a Melbourne based Registered Integrative Nutritionist, Professional Accredited Health & Wellness Coach and Body Image Educator who has worked in the industry for 20 years. Romy’s approach to health is of a holistic nature. She believes that we need more than just food to nourish, fuel and balance us. We also need to be nourished ‘beyond the plate’ through movement, sleep, mindset, relationships, career and more.

A variety of snacks will be readily available in the Oxford kitchen for you to access during your retreat. Have dietary requirements? No worries! Just let us know when you book your retreat!

Experience

Wednesday 11th May:

4:00pm  – Your arrival at Oxford House for your Joyful Autumn Bliss Retreat. Make your own way to Hepburn Springs and relax in your room, explore the gardens, try the sauna…make yourself at home!

Evening – Join us for a relaxing Joyful Stretch class in our private retreat studio space. After class we will gather to enjoy a delicious dinner catered by Spade to Blade. Indulge in local wines, fresh produce and enjoy each others company.

 

Thursday 12th May:

Morning – Start the day with your choice of a Joyful Pilates OR Joyful Sweat class in our private studio space. After class we will feast on a wholesome breakfast catered by Spade to Blade. Take the rest of your morning slow with some free time to yourself to explore or relax after breakfast.

Late Morning – Join Integrative Nutritionist Romy Bursztyn for a nourishing workshop and cooking class. We will enjoy a colourful lunch together afterwards in the beautiful gardens at Oxford House.

Afternoon – Visit the rejuvenating Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa where you can soak in the mineral springs and let any troubles float away. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon however you wish – read a book in the gardens, take a walk into town, explore the scenic area, book in a private coaching session with Romy, indulge in the sauna… retreat!

Late Afternoon – Join us for a peaceful Joyful Stretch class before nourishing your body with our celebratory last dinner together.

 

Friday 13th May:

Morning – We start our morning with an invigorating Joyful Pilates class in our private studio space. Feast on a delicious breakfast together and enjoy one last sauna or walk through the gardens.

10am –  Check out and say goodbye to Oxford House. You can spend the rest of your day exploring the Daylesford and Hepburn Springs area before heading back on your journey home feeling refreshed, recharged, revitalised and joyful.

Each bedroom in Oxford House is unique and boasts it’s own charm. There are 8 bathrooms in Oxford House. If you would prefer your own private ensuite you can choose to book bedrooms 1, 3, 5 or 9. The house floor plan below shows the location of each room. Price is per room (2 adults) for x2 nights all inclusive. Each bedroom has a comfortable King sized bed which can be split into 2x King Single beds upon request. Share a room with your partner, a friend or we can connect you with another retreat attendee (yay to new friends!) for your stay.

FAQs

Will we get to do a lot of exercise on the retreat?
You can choose how much and what type of movement you’d like to do during your retreat. Our Joyful team will be offering optional Joyful Pilates, Joyful Stretch or Joyful Sweat classes each morning and evening of our stay. There are also many beautiful walking tracks in the area which you may like to explore.

Is the Pilates equipment supplied?
Yes! We will supply all mats, weights, props etc for our Joyful classes. Just bring yourself and something comfortable to work out in!
Our house has a private studio space which we will use for these classes with the option to do some sessions outside in the garden (weather permitting).

Which Joyful team members will be teaching at the Autumn Bliss Retreat?
You will be joined at the Autumn Bliss Retreat by Ally, Max, Syd and Lexie.

How does the twin share work?
Each room comes with a King bed which can be split into 2 King single beds upon request. We will reach out to you prior to the retreat to confirm the details of who you are sharing with and which bed configuration you need. You can attend with your partner, a friend or we can help to organise another retreat attendee to share with you. (yay to new friends!)

Can I book a room to myself?
Yes! You are more than welcome to attend the retreat solo and you can book an entire room to yourself if you’d prefer. Full retreat cost will still apply for any private room bookings.

Can I choose which room I want?
Each bedroom at Oxford House is special and unique. You can use the house floorplan to view the different rooms available. You can email us at hello@joyfulpilates.com.au to nominate which room number you’d like and to confirm your booking. Please note that rooms cannot be reserved for you unless your 50% deposit has been paid.

How do I pay?
We require a non-refundable 50% deposit to reserve your room and place on the retreat. The remaining 50% is due no later than 4 weeks prior to our arrival date. Your retreat deposit can be purchased via our website, the Joyful Pilates app or via EFT with us in the studio.
